Pilar Dieter serves as Principal for Solidiance, Asia’s premier strategy consulting firm leading their Greater China operations in their Shanghai office.  Pilar Dieter has served as an advisor to Fortune 500 seeking process improvements and growth opportunities for the past 14 years. She has advised multinational companies such as Corning, Honeywell, Applied Materials, Steelcase, and Harley-Davidson.

Originally from California, she has been based in China for the past five years, Ms. Dieter most recently was Senior Director for a Global Strategy Consultancy in Shanghai where she was responsible for managing client accounts for the firm’s multinational clients focused on projects related to supply chain initiatives, market growth strategies and M&A activities.  Following her time at Accenture Consulting, she led Professional Services and Product Management divisions in the Silicon Valley at TradeBeam, Inc. and Embarcadero Systems Corporation.  Ms. Dieter graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. 

In addition to a variety of publications pertaining to China business, Ms. Dieter has been featured in the Shanghai Business Review, CSCMP Magazine, the Wall Street Journal and CHaINA magazine.  As a top rated international seminar speaker, panellist and presenter, Ms. Dieter has spoken to global audiences on topics ranging from global trade management (GTM) to the future expansion opportunities that exist within China. Ms. Dieter has been an active member of the Silicon Valley Product Management Association, American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, where she served as a committee chairperson, the Global Supply Chain Council and Women in Logistics.
