According to Solidiance's latest white paper, "Transforming Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi into Sustainable Cities of Vietnam", the government is currently underway of making two urban cities into sustainable cities of the future by 2030. There are 4 components to push forward the development into sustainable cities in Vietnam: public transport, green spaces, green building and smart city. The government is currently focused on building a dedicated urban rail network around a metro system to cut road congestion while also developing more green spaces around residental area and increasing the number of trees and water features around housing areas. This and smart city billion-dollar projects are underway in order to facilitate easier city management and increase overall quality of life.
