Solidiance's latest white paper "Transforming Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi into sustainable cities of Vietnam" delves deeply into key topics that will push forward the development of sustainable cities in Vietnam: public transport, green spaces, green buildings and smart city. Those components is to transform Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi by 2020 and 2030. To reduce the traffic congestion, the government is currently developing the system in public buses and urban rail around metro system. In terms of green buildings and green spaces, the government has made an efforts to develop more green spaces around residental area and planning to have 60 parks. Vietnam has begun implementing smart city initiatives in order to facilitate easier city management and increase city overall quality of life in dense uran areas.
