Surpassing the other sectors, fintech accounted the maximum funding for Vietnamese startups in 2018. The data recorded by Topica Founder Institute shows USD 117 million investments in the country’s fintech startups, compared to USD 104 million attracted by e-commerce startups. In accordance to Solidiance report, the Vietnam fintech market is expected to grow to USD 7.8 billion by 2020. The development of fintech in the country has also remained largely focused on the personal and retail finance sector.
